The Squadra wardrobe was adapted to today`s wardrobe needs in collaboration with Klaus Vogt. This rare design classic, popularly known as the "fretsaw cabinet," was designed by Vogt back in
1964. He made the first examples himself for his own young household.
In the context of the "anti-design movement," Vogt nailed standardized plywood panels together to form a stable structure and then sawed out the openings. This manufacturing method enabled a variety of free shapes for the openings in the drawer and cabinet fronts. He chose piano hinges that precisely follow the saw cuts.
The version of the Squadra wardrobe with a right-hand handle can be quickly rotated 180 degrees thanks to its symmetrical design. This arrangement allows the door to be opened on the other side as well. The interior of the wardrobe is equipped with removable shelves. In contrast to the serially produced vintage models, the re-edition was produced in the original, more delicate version made of plywood.

Biography Klaus Vogt
Klaus Vogt was born in Winterthur in 1938. From an early age, he was interested in ships and boats, the lake, and the world of craftsmanship. Therefore, in 1954, he decided to begin an apprenticeship as a boatbuilder in Meilen. After completing his apprenticeship, Vogt attended the interior design class at the Zurich School of Applied Arts under Hans Fischli and Willy Guhl. Assistant positions at the ETH Zurich under Bernhard Hoesli and Dolf Schnebli followed in the 1970s. At the same time, he designed furniture in his own workshop, such as the Squadra cabinets, and, in a design collective with Ueli Berger, Heinz Ulrich, and Eleonore Peduzzi Riva, he designed the DS-600 living area for de Sede. As an architect, he realized numerous important buildings for private and public clients.
Klaus Vogt lives and works in his self-designed house in Scherz, Aargau.

Over the years, we have identified and preserved selected furniture designs by Swiss designers and architects with timeless relevance. These designs have now been reworked in collaboration with the designers, their descendants, and manufacturers, focusing on their design and functional potential, thus giving them new life. The result is a true-to-original collection of exquisite Swiss furniture classics for indoor and outdoor use that not only tells the story of design, but also translates it into the present and makes it accessible to its surroundings.
